Laurier Vocal, MD, is a family medicine physician at Family Health Center of Bastrop, with locations in Bastrop and Smithville, Texas. He has been providing outstanding medical care to families since 1975, treating patients in the Bastrop area for over 16 years.
Dr. Vocal graduated from the University of Ottawa in Ontario and completed his family medicine residency at Ottawa General Hospital and the University of Ottawa in Ontario, Canada. He is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the College of Family Physicians of Canada. He has earned Fellowship status in both organizations. Dr. Vocal also serves as an athletic medical director in Bastrop, as well as the medical director for Advanced Home Health and Aseracare Hospice.
At Family Health Center of Bastrop, Dr. Vocal strives to make the health of each patient a top priority. He provides comprehensive care for the whole family, offering children and adolescent primary care check-ups, as well as geriatric services. He also has extensive experience with chronic disease management, and can diagnose and treat ADD, ADHD, arthritis, fibromyalgia, and diabetes, among others.
When Dr. Vocal’s not working at the office, he enjoys gardening.
